Early DB7 Wheel Covers
Discussion
Hello, if you are still looking for a set of these then I do have a set from the very early (1995) DB7 that I used to own. I think it was chassis no. 131 or something like that, very early, and was originally owned by someone in Singapore (royalty of some kind, I believe) who paid for all the extras. I don't have the fixing bolts any more, so you'd have to get those made. I was going to list them on ebay, but saw your post.... If you are still interested then please let me know asap.

Seeing that EdwardC last posted on this topic a long time ago, perhaps he might never see your post.
Only a suggestion, but a Private Message to him via his Profile page might be best.

Hello I know it’s been a while since you posted this. I am the new owner of 131 and would love to hear motor about its history adey19705 said:

do you happen to still have them available?Does anyone know why you never see an early DB7 running around with the OEM early dinner plate wheel trims which (IMHO) look rather smart? It is unusual for owners almost without exception to pull off a bit of original kit. That suggests to me that the factory told dealers to remove and dispose of them when cars were in for a service presumably because there was an issue with them - I can only guess that they had a habit of falling off by themselves or did not allow enough cooling to get to the brakes which then overheated/warped.

As a previous owner, I much preferred the look of the wheels themselves at the time, and that s why I (and I believe most of the early owners) took them off. And I’m guessing that most of the sets of these found their way into the rubbish, with owners thinking that they were a surplus and unnecessary item that had no value. Also, I’m not even certain that they were supplied with the car when new, I think they were an optional extra, so probably many people didn’t buy them. But I’m not certain about that. There was definitely no technical problem with them such as overheating. Luckily I discovered that I had kept hold of mine when I moved house and sorted out my old garage. Now they are safely in storage while I m overseas, waiting for a new owner when I return back to the uk this year. Edited by adey19705 on Thursday 29th January 18:10

Hi there,Is it a nice burgundy-red colour one? My chassis number was purely from memory, so could be wrong

But yes, I think I have a bundle of info about it in my storage unit, I’m sure we could come to some arrangement over it.
All the best,
Adrian
