Tried to buy this today

However a couple of work meetings meant I missed a call about some details and someone else was quicker… so the hunt goes on

I think you may have had a lucky escape. I enquired about the car a while ago when it was £67k, the chap I spoke to didn’t really know anything about it. The history isn’t full Aston even though the adverts states it is, the first one was a specialist when it was 3years old. Also the MOT history would suggest that it had been a little neglected over the years as advisories had not been done repeatedly. IIRC there was an issue with the tyres too!

The first service by Aston Workshop woukd I believe constitute an authorised aston service.
I understand they were rhe officially appointed service centre for the North east of England until a new full dealership was built.
A moot point given its now sold but they are still going and do lots of full restoration type work (the very expensive stuff) on the older classic Astons amongst other things. They also hold monthly car meets throughout the summer months which can be well attended

As the offending service was seven years ago, does it matter than much?

I think the fact it wasn’t serviced for the first 3 years of its life is the real issue. That’s what put me off.
