What colour grill on black V8 Vantage S (re anodised)?

Just in the process of having my grill re anodised. It was looking a bit tired, had been painted by previous owner by the looks of it.

Any suggestions on colour? My car is black. Yea hat were the factory options? Anodised black, bright finish and Matt finish?

Your advice or any pictures would be much appreciated.

I’d consider having the grille the same as the side-strakes and the trim round the doors / windows

I also have a black Vantage and although I like the idea of a dark grille, I think the front ends would have just looked too dark

I replaced my tired bright-finish 8-slat grille with a brand new one from Aston Martin Bits

Yea I was thinking black but went with bright finish in the end. I will post some pics up when I get it back.

Bright finish is always great on black.

The main thing is window trim surround, strakes and grill must match. It always reminds of Connery in Diamonds are Forever. “Which colour do you prefer?” “Oh either, provided the collars match the cuffs”.

On my car, full stock (I think) the (limited, since it's convertible) trim surround and strakes are chromed, while the grill (6 slate) is "dull/bright" gray.

I have a 2014 Vantage V12 S and the grill surround and grill (mesh) is all satin black.

Of course, it is entirely your own personal choice.
Some like a black grille, others prefer bright finish.
