colours and resale
Discussion
I was suppose to be getting the Kopi Bronze vanquish, however it didn't happen, nothign to do with the car.
Now i'm back, in the country I can actually proceed.
How does colour affect resale?
there's lots of white and black cars around, which I'm guessing have the lowest resale, based on the numbers for sale?
Is skyfall silver a sensible colour to buy? Kopi better?
they're both pretty lovely IMO.

I’ve read silver, white, black are best for resale. Red, brown, blue are harder to resale. I’m sure mileage and condition trump color though.
Get what you want, resale be dammed.
Is this still the case? I’ve been keeping a beady eye in a DB11 and I can’t believe how boringly the majority are specified. They are beautiful and use lovely leather. Why are they all monotone grey/silver with boring black interiors.Get what you want, resale be dammed.
Show me the colour!
I think colour choice matters most when buying new when all the colours are the same price (colour tier pricing accepted).
Once a car is second hand the colour is usually factored into the price, desirable colours being worth a bit more etc.... So if you're buying used its more often than not irrelevant, pay more now and get more back on resale, or pay less now and get less on resale.
Anyway, an Aston is a car it to be enjoyed. What is the point in buying a colour that you didn't really want? Even if manages to save you a grand or so over the term, its simply not worth reducing your enjoyment of what could have been your dream car.

I came close to buying a Vanq S a few years back and looked at quite a few before buying a different type of Aston
The two colours I thought looked best were:
Most striking/beautiful - Ming blue
Classiest/understated beauty - Scintilla silver
These two were utterly stunning.
Not sure both these colours are available in the earlier cars though.

As someone who isn't a massively built PH director, I need to just be 'mindful'. I'm in a dodgy spot as there's a lot of wheels i'm not a fan of also! These two, have my favourite wheels.
however these are my top two choices... the top one has a little bit more spec which makes the interior feel a little lifted.

Wise, calculating words from Adam, and he should know about the quirks of choosing colours vs resale price and emotion, sitting as he does in a Kermit Green Aston!I`m in a Tungsten Silver Aston, not considered the daring choice, but I really like silver as a colour for cars in general.

Lovely car, great colour and wheels, I doubt you would have a problem selling that in the future. Most like dark interiors it seems. this is the car

Very nice.
I only sold my Vanquish as the passenger seat had no height adjustment and the other half is only 5 foot nothing and could not see over the dashboard (but could see the speedometer).
Vanquish had Isofix on the passenger seat as standard but you could option it out and then you have height adjustment.
I was looking for a Vanquish S Volante for nearly a year and was on a few AM dealers waiting list but none came about, so bought a Vantage V12 AMR.
There seems to be more Vanquish buyers than cars at the moment (exc Ultimate editions) the only Vanquish colours that seem to wait for buyers are white and divine red.
Get it bought.

It's always easy to sell any car at the right price!
