Brake Calliper Repaint & Alloy Refurb Cost

Does anyone know roughly what a brake calliper repaint on 2015 Vanquish costs from the likes of AM Works or Bamford Rose etc?

Also how much should a typical alloy wheel refurb cost on the 20" diamond turned wheels? Many Thanks.

As regards the Brake Calliper , I suspect a simple telephone call to either establishment may be your best bet . As for the Wheel I can recommend Supreme Wheels in Milton Keynes which is owned by BCA . This is where most Dealership Wheels which cant be tarted up by some Mobile Operator on a Forecourt inevitably end up . Its a first class job and surprisingly reasonably priced .

Just for info, but I contacted BCS for a caliper refurb price (Paint and this included seals, dust boots, stenciling of logos etc) and was a little over £1k.

This was on a set of One-77 (6 pot front and 4 pot rears), so I wouldn't be too surprised if you got a similar quote.

I've decided to do it myself so ordered the stencils and refurb parts already.

Got to strip them next week and then get them painted (NOTE: I do believe that Brembo paint their calipers, not powder coat them). Although, many suggest that powder coating versus 'normal' painting provides a longer lasting solution.

I suppose we really want a price from Aston for comparison though I suspect given the prices Aston Works quote for tyres that could be staggering . Brembo do or at least did paint their Callipers and doing them yourself was pretty commonplace amongst Jaguar Owners where some Models had them as standard fit .
I suppose as in most things preparation is the key to a good job .

Most MD ‘s charge more for Tyres than is healthy but from experience you can certainly at least try and negotiate on them and Works have always been amenable albeit they will never be the cheapest obviously.
Paintwork - their work is seriously good quality but at a price.
I’ve had various work done by them both interior and exterior but only when “ customising “ on new cars so not standalone negotiation.

But its perfectly possible to do yourself with a small compressor. Red rubber grease is your friend.

Oh and birmingham city wheels are the go to for cheap powdercoating on wheels. £55 per wheel from memory including tyre removal and refit.

Completely extortionate prices at the Works in Newport Pagnell especially when compared with the World’s oldest Aston Dealership HWM . It’s hard sometimes to justify paying almost double in some cases and personally I gave up on that nonsense long ago

Agree I would never pay nearly double or anything approaching that but I haven’t !
On tyres for instance I’m sure I’ve paid £10 or £20 more than necessary with them but given the hassle that has saved ( if needed for MOT say ) I’m not sure I’m too upset.
