Thought it was about time I changed the front discs /pads on my DB9 went for the porterfield pads. Drivers side no problem took me about an hour, N/s a tale of woe. One of the caliper pins was seized solid and started to bend when driving it out, only remedy was to remove the caliper cut the pin and drive it out with a hydrolic press . Reinstalled everything and started to bleed the caliper , inner bleed nipple sheered clean off !! Caliper back off and tried to remove the remaining nipple with an easy out , that also snapped . Have seen a few companies offering a service to resolve such issues but when you factor in the cost of the job / postage Ive made the descsion to buy a new caliper £308 + vat
Have checked the nipples on my other calipers and they too are seized solid so not looking foreward to carrying out a full fluid change.
I regularly inspect the brakes but never thought of just cracking off the nipples a couple of times a year to prevent them seizing and the the hit to the pocket when they sheer off
Will be doing it in future when i get the other calipers sorted

There may be another option.
Find a local engineering workshop that does spark eroding. If they are tool makers, its likely they will have one. If not, they will certainly know a local engineering company that does.
I had the same thing on a VW Golf calliper. It was £20 in beer tokens to have it sparked out.
Pat at my local toolmakers had the tool made in 5 minutes and the bleed nipple sparked out in about 1/4 hour.
