I chose Nitron shocks to replace my knackered original dynamics, partly because they re-use original springs and top mounts.

However, one of my front springs is cracked, so I’m trying to see if I can get hold of a secondhand pair.

Anyone got some left over from an upgrade?

I have a full set of multimatic dampers springs and topmounts in good condition.

Happy to strip the front springs off for a sensible offer.

Can get them in the post the weekend if needed

Sadly, one of Ian’s springs was also cracked.

Anyone else got anything?

I'm sure I read on here when researching before I bought mine (I think it might have been Harry Flashman?) that he had a whole set of 4 custom made by a spring company to exactly the OEM spec, for the price of less than one OEM spring?

Yes i mentioned to Nigel that faulkners will wind whatever spring you want for sensible money, but clearly it wont be an immediate thing so time may be a factor.

Seems to be an endemic issue with the ground coil tails breaking off, cant really see until you put a set of compressors on them.

I probably don’t have time to commission a custom set of springs, although it might be an option in the medium term

UPDATE - spoke with a VERY helpful chap at Faulkner - 6-7 week lead time, so not an option right now

Yea, did think it would take a bit of time, bit of a bummer as comparatively its a much cheaper option than the off the shelf aftermarket options

There's a set of fully refurbished springs on Facebook marketplace in the Durham area, not sure? if it's allowable to post links here?

I refuse to be involved with Facebook - is there a less grumpy PHer that would be willing to have a look for me please?

EDIT - scrap that - seller wants £400 a pair. That’s more than brand new Nitron springs

I'm sorry, this made me laugh ... I have the same attitude as you towards Facebook.

Last time I was looking the Nitron springs were something like £550+VAT per spring. Can anyone point me to a set of cheaper Nitron Springs?

I wondered that too, but the Nitron dampers are ‘only’ £2,500 the set - there’s no way the springs will be almost the same price.

I suspect this is per set, not each

Bear in mind that Nitron springs are available for various Lotuses (Lotii?) for under £100 a corner - https://www.seriouslylotus.com/nitron-springs
