Does anyone know how the binacle, if that's the right word, behind the rear view mirror is removed on a 2015 Vanquish.
It's the part with the small spotlights immediately in front of the rear view mirror.
I'm hopeful that I can get a feed for my dash cam from inside of it.

Many thanks. Les.

IIRC, the little black thing in the middle comes out to reveal a screw. In there you'll also see some Volvo parts wink

Many thanks Glassman, I'll have a go tomorrow. At least I can rely on the Volvo parts not failing in my experience.

Cheers. Les.,

Just an update on my success.

To remove the binnacle, remove the black microphone cover mentioned above and also the cover for the very small lamp at the front near the windscreen.
That gave access to two screws, removing them frees the binnacle.

I tapped into the orange feed wire for one of the downlights and for the earth, there are a couple of nuts holding the small radio aeriel part, which I attached to.

The live feed goes off 60 seconds after the car is locked.

It works just fine and there is only a very short section of cable visible, so I'm very pleased with the installation.

Here's a photo of the result.
