Hi all,
It's been about 11 years since I last owned a V8 Vantage. My 1st was a 2006 4.3 which I absolutely loved. Out of all the special marques I have owned, it's the one I missed the most. So now I am the proud owner of a stunning V8 Vantage S. The ride is a lot harder but what an incredible car.
So, my first question. Is there a way to pick up a live signal from the parking sensor module? I'm assuming the module fuse is permanently on with the ignition and not just live when the sensors are activated..... Otherwise they wouldn't work? Lol. So I need a way to pick up a signal from the module when the sensors are activated.
If anyone knows the answer, I would be very grateful.

I do not know if this will help, but in cars I've owned in the past, the trigger for the parking sensors is the transmission. In forward gear (at some very low mph) the front sensors are active; likewise, in reverse, then only the rear sensors are active.
But to possibly get close to your question, I do believe the system should be powered at ignition; however, I do not think you can get a voltage reading at the sensors w/o a gearshift position.

Thanks for replying. That pretty much echoes my thoughts. It's just so I wouldn't need a toggle between front and rear parking cameras.

As far as I know the sensors are off until activated by selecting reverse, then both front and rear will be on below a threshold speed (15 mph? But I could be wrong). This means that if you drive forward slowly towards an obstacle without having selected reverse as part of a set of manoeuvres, or activated them with the "Park Sensor" button on the centre stack, you'll drive straight into the obstacle with no warning. The LED in the "Park Sensor" button illuminates when they are activated.
This is all for my '15 V8V - other models/years may differ. I believe this odd way of operating is because the rear PDCs were standard and the front ones optional.
