Do any of you guys know of anyone who can set up a newly refurbished direct injection pump? I have a DBS coming to the end of some chassis work and I would like to get it going. Engine is OK. But not driveable.

I'm sure Aston Engineering in Derby would be able to do this as they do engine work in-house. Really nice people to deal with too.

You need a heritage specialist. Works, Aston Engineering Derby, RSW, Chicane, Pugsley and Lewis, Vantage Eng etc. Also Rikki Cann, Aston Workshop, Quantum

HWM Walton are only FD with heritage capability.

But maybe you also used google. A very well regarded guy in respect of what you are after was Peter Stratford of Aston London. Now retired, but he still makes himself available sometimes.

Best of luck

I've set up a fair number of these cars and have 2 myself, however i'm not in the UK.
Get someone who knows these cars because it definitely pays off.

Would you mind sharing the chassis number? i'm building a database on this specific model.

isn't that the same injection pump as the Mercedes Benz 300SEL 6.3 / Grand 600? If so, a classic MB or Porsche specialist can probably help.

Big thank you for the replies. I am going to try all of those suggested.

Yes, it is the SL Direct Injection Pump. SL Shop in Brum refurbished it but he says he has no-one to set the car up - they stick to MB SLs. I didn't know it was used by Porsche but makes sense, so will see if there is someone more local but Derby I can get to with a trailer.
Cheers, Roger

Aston Engineering regularly make/supply bits for my car. Recommended highly. Ross the Commercial Manager is another point of contact
