Gas spring replace mente vantage v8

Good morning all. I bought the gas springs for the front hood of the 2006 Vantage v8. I was looking at doing the job myself, has anyone replaced these parts and can give me a tutorial? Thanks

I can already answer this question myself, if it is the same process as DB9, it is very easy

Yes - very easy - two minutes per side

I had to replace mine after the bonnet closed itself on my head…. Glad it’s aluminum!

I'm one of the worse DIY people I know but I managed to successfully change the gas struts for the hatch back on the Vantage and presumably ones on the bonnet will be similar(?)
