Tyre fitting specialist? DB11 London / surrey / chesterfield
Discussion
Am I an idiot thinking I would like a "premium" Tyre specialist to change 4 tyres on a db11 ?
Is Jacking the car correctly and not damaging the alloys while changing tyres a simple and straight forward job ?
I'd rather drive a few hours for top notch service rather than a random kwikfit around the block ... but maybe I should not be scared ?
Any thoughts and recommandation of good places welcomed 🙏 ... London / surrey / chesterfield area
PS: merry Christmas and happy driving in 2026 !

Tadworth Tyres

They do loads of fancy cars. I've had great tyre service from them over the years, including professional vulcanised repairs of runflat punctures.
Yes, it appears they know how to jack a car without damaging it and they know how to change the tyres without damaging the rims.
Yes, I have to travel to get there, it's not just my local fitter.
Last time I was there, Jimmy White (snooker) was picking up his Bentley.
Recommended.

You must jack the car correctly in the right place , On no account get a firm " to change on your drive" unless you want damaged alloys ask how I know .Is Jacking the car correctly and not damaging the alloys while changing tyres a simple and straight forward job ?

I bought jacking pads for my DBSV12 see here i had two sets of wheels / summer winter fitted with pirrelis and i would rotate during the seasons
https://www.astonmartinjackpads.co.uk/products
for your DB11

then a low 2,.5 ton trolley jack and you can remove the wheels
i would take to a specialist wheel shop that deal with supercars and can guarantee not to damage the wheels as posted HWM
horror story of jacking in the wrong place = written off Aston

Not sure what side of London you are on, but if SW / W then Elite Tyres in Reading are fantastic, family owned and look after a lot of high profile footballers cars as well as a number of the Lambos and Astons from customers of the local dealership in Pangbourne .... I trust them with my 911 centrelocks .....
HWM are also a decent shout if they do them in house, otherwise see who they farm out to locally.

Thanks guys. Ended up booking HWM.
Surprisingly competitive pricing too (25% more than online shops with "random fitters") which given the horror stories out there seem to be money well spent
Went for good old Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S x4 since the continental 7 are not available on 20' rim

If you travel along the M40, then this firm in Chesham is worth considering.
Prestige car dealers use them, so they have a reputation of being careful.

Since I was last there as a customer, they have been acquired by Protyre, but hopefully the same expert staff are still there.
It was recommended to me years ago by people on this forum. I have never used another tyre fitter since.

For Cars like Astons that need specific jacking points using the correct adaptor if a normal garage placed a jack under the car , not kn owing the specifics of that type of car , jacked in the wrong place = a potential write off ...see link above
why take the risk go to a specialist like HWM and have peace of mind

I mentioned this firm because of their experience with very expensive cars.
There was a McLaren P1 and a Rolls Royce being worked on when I was there last.
Because Protyre have now purchased this excellent family business, I purposely stated that in my post, because I don't know whether that might have brought about negative changes.
I agree that an Aston Martin specialist is by far the best choice.
