Nice, loved the Andy Palmer appearance and chat. The GT8 prototype is very cool. So, according to him, it's the best sounding AM ever made, interesting.

The final result, well, to me, any other outcome would have been strange, no spoilers!

Definitely the noise of the GT8 is one of its many attractions to go with the overall “theatre” experience.
It was never about its speed.
I met with Andy when I was seeing mine in production and he had previously also signed the renderings of it.

Mr. Palmer seems like a great car but drag racing isn’t his bag. At least with a manual box. I do love his facial expressions though.

He particularly messed up the second run, but then again B grade Alan Partridge got a 10 second head start smile

Nice to see and hear the cars though.

To be honest, I expected there to be a greater performance difference between them . Maybe the more modern cars performance advantage is gained at higher operating speeds., but it looks to me as though there is next to nothing between them in real world everyday road driving.

That was my takeaway from it.

GT4 cars are power limited. The GT4 Vantage has nearly 200hp less than the road going car.

Andy Palmer is a grade A b*llend. He basically committed corporate fraud, got away with it, and is pretending he cares about Aston Martin - a company he has financially crippled. No thanks. Yes, I am grumpy!smile
