I'm contemplating getting DAE 3-way "hidden" switch added when my V8V goes into them later this month for some other work

If anyone has had this work done by DAE could you post a picture showing the switch location? Many thanks in anticipation.

I just want an idea of what it will look like before I commit

I cannot comment about DAE, but BR place the 3-way rocker switch in what must be the ideal position.
Perhaps DAE do exactly the same.

The switch cannot be seen, which I like.
It is underneath the edge of the transmission tunnel cover.
Easy to locate and operate when driving, by feel.

I have not seen it. Would have to crouch down in the footwell.
By feel, I think it must be very similar to the switch in this photo below.
Only a small amount of the unit is above the mounting surface.
The centre position is OEM.
