These are the MY16+ wheels. Available in silver, graphite and gloss black.

Correct.

Standard 19" 5-spoke alloy silver painted wheels.

Thanks now to see if they are lighter somehow than the standard old 7 spokes which are quite light to start

Otherwise i will get some wheels milled to spec or look to get some oem forged variants

Here is an image of mine which which are standard for MY16.5 N430, they are a bit darker than the standard silver finish wheel.

From what I can find for 5 spoke MY16, Front 25lbs, Rear 27lbs.
The original 7 spoke Front 26lbs, Rear 28.5lbs.
Keep in mind that all changes when you fit tyres as tyres can vary in weight a lot too.

I also weighed the MY2010 sport pack wheels. (Previously I haven't been able to find this sort of info on the web.)

19"x8.5J fronts-10.3kg.
19x9.5J rears-11.2kg.

Rich from Redpants weighed the original 7 spokes

Standard 7-spoke wheels, 19x8.5" front are 11.23 kg
Standard 7-spoke wheels, 19x9.5" rear are 12.53 kg

The lightweight forged are in V12S sizes(wider) and I'm not sure they are lighter than the 10 Spoke sports pack ones. I have also read they don't work with V8V suspension as they can contact the damper at certain points of wheel travel. (I guess the V12Vs has a different upright which gives slightly more clearance.)

Aston Main Dealers have been saying this forever but I've run my V8VS on V12V & V12VS wheels (with no spacers) for 8 years and 40K miles without any problem whatsoever so I really wouldn't worry about it.

I have researched these wheels quite a bit as they were standard fit on my AMR. These are actually cast wheels, and so are quite heavy. You want the forged wheels if you care about lightness!

Hey Pete,
Cool that they work on a V8S, I don't have direct experience of those wheels. The V8S does have different front uprights to the V8V (4.3&4.7 up to 12.25) as it had the front 6 pots. I don' know but it would be really annoying to drop the kind of cash required for the V12S wheels and then realise they have issues.

It is the rear where the clearance is tight rather than the front. And it is tight but it is OK. I think it is at full droop that it is closest but still no contact even with plenty of track use.

I also have a set of the V12VS lightweight forged wheels with Cup 2s fitted and they are fine too.

Right thanks Pete, difficult to know why the dealers made such a fuss then.

Saying that, the AM dealers are the most conservative and anti mod of any brand I've owned.

Back to the thread topic. If the OP decides to find new wheels, I'd recommend forged ones, not only are they lighter but stronger. Less likely to buckle and more likely to be repairable if they do.

Also avoid diamond cut ones. The finish just goes and they get the white worm effect on the diamond cut surface. Ask me how I know, I had my sport pack silver redone in shadow chrome. Look OEM and IMHO better than factory, where the silver never quite went with the window trim or vents.

Thanks all

ill stick with the standard for now i will get some wheels made or settle on a design soon enough

Previously i had these 3 peiece wheels for my m3, 9 and 10j out of forged ally billets weighing 10.4kg and 11.5kg which is crazy for 3 pc

I would like some wheels for my new to me v8v but all oem choices seem azzz

I liked the 5 spoke design but they are cast

Leaning towards these apex sqaure set up and rear spacers for 9kg a wheel

Apex wheels are great on a BMW.
Astons don’t ever really look good on non Aston wheels for some reason.
