V12 VH Vantage AMR and Zagato alloy wheel weights
Discussion
I've been wondering about the weight of the 19" AMR VH Vantage alloys for some time. They look heavy, right? Well, last year I acquired the equivalent 19" Zagato alloys. Same dimensions. Conveniently, I have a brand new unused front + rear Zagato to compare against the recently repainted unshod AMRs. None of the wheels weighed had been machined/refaced.
Caveat: I weighed these on bathroom scales. So hardly the last work in precision. But good enough for comparison.
Results
AMR front: 10.4kg
AMR rear: 11.5kg
Zagato front: 10.2kg
Zagato rear: 11.5kg
Therefore, the same, within a margin of error. Not featherweights, but I hope that translates to better durability and pot-hole survivability.
Over on on these previous threads [ 1 ], [ 2 ] and [ 3 ], I found these weights for the V12S Lightweight alloys (with the caveat that I don't know how accurate the weighing of these are either):
Lightweight front: 9.2kg
Lightweight rear: 9.8kg
I can't find a good weight reference for the original V12 Vantage alloys.
Hope this is of some interest for future reference.

Cheers for that. Good to know Zagato isn t lighter despite the look. 10-11kg is fine for a strong cast wheel. V12S forged ones are the real lightweight champs but rare. Your bathroom scales are close enough.
Cheers!Half tempted to swap the Zags for lightweights. But not for weight. However, I think the Zags painted in silver would work better.
This reminds me of a very good piece on DB9 wheels: https://aston1936.com/2019/03/12/aston-martin-db9-...
Have you got titanium lug nuts?

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Steve. Really nice guy and treasure trove of information.
