2019 Vantage drivers window switch
Discussion
Morning,
The button for the drivers window on my vantage just about works, but has become loose and I don't think has much life left.
Didn't think it'd be a problem but then realise the whole block needs to be replaced at c.£800+. I appreciate there is an AM premium but still painful to swallow.
I've been scouring ebay and online breakers, but no such luck in sourcing a replacement at a reasonable price.
Has anyone else had the same issue and have they found a cost effective solution before I stump up.
Thanks in advance.

Do you have an extended warranty? If so, this item should be covered.
A reminder that the switch is available in both light satin and dark (shadow) finishes that matches the rest of the dashboard ‘jewellery pack’, so you’ll want to select the one that matches your car.
As it’ll be the same switch fitted to the Mercedes-era DB11 and DBS, I found a DB11 switch on eBay at £618.70 ( https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/305411245871?_skw=aston...),
I also had a quick look on Astonmartinbits.com, but theirs is listed at £847.68 ( https://astonmartinbits.com/products/hy53-14540-bd...).
A reminder that if you do end up having to buy one from a main dealer, and you’re an AMOC member, then you can claim 10% discount (parts & labour).
Let us know how you got on.

Common fault. The plastic lugs inside snap. You don't need the whole block. The button for the drivers window on my vantage just about works, but has become loose and I don't think has much life left.

Pop the switch out carefully. Open it up - tiny torx or clips. You'll find a broken piece of white plastic inside. That's the rocker pivot. Superglue it back with good quality glue and a dab of baking soda to reinforce. Or buy just the internal rocker mechanism from a breaker who'll split the block.
If you're not handy, find a local electronics repair guy. They fix this stuff for twenty quid. Eight hundred is robbery for a bit of plastic.
