Fuel starvation DB9
Discussion
Hi spent a year getting my DB9 Le Mans to the state where I am ready to fire it up,not run for over 4 years, engine turns over fine on the button but does not fire, reset try again still nothing, spray easy start into both a intakes, engine fires but after 5-6 seconds stops, fuel pumps are priming when you turn ignition on,I have not drained fuel out added couple og gallons, the car was never crashed or airbags deployed(last owner drove it through a ford so engine was rebuilt and engine harness replaced, possible blocked (2)filters in tank, crap in the fuel lines or blocked inline filters,2008 does not have the yellow button cut off open to suggestions before I dive(literally!!)into fuel tank, relay all good, next step was to put my Foxwell OBD2 reader on to see if any dreaded P faults come up,after 4 years non started expecting loads Thanks Clive
Umm,
The 4 year old petrol would have gone off, I would try to drain the tank first, try to get it on a ramp and disconnect the fuel line underneath the car and drain it there, then put in at the least 5L of fuel.
Get the foxwell and write down all the codes and work out if any of them are relevant, possibly a new battery is a good idea too.

Having become intimately familiar with the fuel tanks/injection system in my DB9 Volante. I suggest adding at least 10L of gas to the system. And then buy the AM module for a Foxwell NT520/530 (etc) and read the live data. In particular, the fuel system pressure before/after you turn the key.
I was surprised how much gas was slopping around the bottom of my tank when I drained it (multiple times, not really proud of that...). You could easily just not be up to a point where the pumps are working.....
