Just been out for about 2 hours in my 05 DB9 at slow speeds as not on the mway and progressively my lower legs were getting hotter and hotter.

I can to check the foot rest and the alloy side is fairly hot to the touch and the carpet in boot footwells are warm.

I'm taking it it's heat soak from the whopping engine and down pipes etc. but I've never noticed it before.

Cheers

A whacking great V12 up front will do that.

My 2018 V12 Vantage has never been at a level that I think about.

But the new-to-me 2006 V12 Vanquish is basically a petrol-fuelled heater sun Heat soak is much more noticeable and you could use the bonnet for serious BBQ work. But in the cabin, it’s no problem at all to manage with the vents and air con, if absolutely necessary. And at speed, it’s not a remote issue.

They appear to have developed ways to better manage heat as the years went on, which is understandable.

Have you got cold air coming out of the footwell vents?

Did 3000 miles in the heat around Europe in 2006 DB9 Volante and never noticed heat through the footwells, but mine does have secondary cats deleted which may make a difference.

The boot did get hot but swapped to a Vanquish 2 S backbox and its much cooler now.

Portugal and back in my DB9 2006 and the hotest outside was over 40 c . Before I left I had the a/c topped up and I never suffered with the heat.
I know this sounds simple but is your a/c either turned on or giving you full hit.
That was not at all supposed to sound condescending
