I sold my Aston last year to buy a McLaren and whilst I absolutely love the McLaren I did miss having an Aston. The McLaren is fantastic and it is going nowhere, but I am glad to say I have bought another Aston a Vanquish S. I can’t wait for collection on Saturday. Train journey with my lad and then lots of V12 loveliness.

Congrats Bentley.

I run a V12VSM alongside a 675LT Spider. They are so different that they can easily justify a space and I’ll never sell either.

The Mac is a spaceship really, I can’t think of a better supercar to actually drive. Whilst getting back into the Aston isn’t a disappointment, but always a pleasure.

Assume you sorted the drive issue?

No but the maths dictate that it should get down in reverse. The McLaren works without the lift just.
I will know properly on Saturday and if not I will be hiring a mini digger on Sunday.
Oh and getting divorced on Monday.

Two fantastic cars there. Mine is a 650 Spider and its pace is mind boggling really. I waited a long time to find the right specification on the McLaren and I do not intend on selling it.

Lovely. The no-compromise to go spider proposition really adds another dimension.

Vanq will make a perfect companion, enjoy.

If the Mac gets down the drive then the Vanq 100% will no problem.

What a great garage that will be, I miss my VanqS, have a 720s but would love to add a Vanq back to the garage next to it!

I really love the McLaren and the way it drives and of course it’s warp speed. I just missed having an Aston and whilst I thought about another V12 Vantage and also a 2010 DBS in the end the Vanquish won.

Good news is that the car gets down the driveway. Aston Birmingham were fantastic to deal with and the Vanquish S is sublime. The sound of it is amazing.

Thanks for the comments. It seems every time I am without an Aston I have to find another. Very special cars and I’m on my fourth one now. Taking my son to the lakes for his 18th birthday at the weekend and he can’t wait to go in the Vanquish.

Hi Tony
I’m not sure I’m ready for that yet. He has already killed one clutch on his car wheel spinning. Hope you are keeping well.
