Vanquish 2 boot catch

Hey all, my soft close mechanism isn’t working… i hear the motor whir but it doesn’t pull the boot closed. Dropping boot shuts fine luckily.
I’ve tried the “pen trick” mentioned previously on these forums to no avail.

Does anyone know how to access the mechanism? It appears to live under an anodised metal plate but I can’t see how to remove it? Tia!
