scooby fuel guage

right I would like to know if any of you other owners have actually seen the fuel light come on as i never have in mine. I know I'm running near empty a lot of the time, tonight I just put 44.07litres into a 45litre tank! (prettu sure its 45litre anyway fuel guage was between the bottom line and last little dot on the guage ( this is the old classic shape scooby im on about)

Should be a 60 litre tank AFAIK,

Mine is 62 litres and the light does come on,

My fuel light will sometimes come on just under 1/4 of a tank (I don't let the fuel level get any lower anyway).

Had a 99 wagon and managed to get the warning light on a few times whilst looking for a Shell garage - only used Optimax. Did have the needle right down on the bumpstop at the time !

Haynes manual states the petrol tank to be 60 litres

Tank capacity is 60 litres
Light comes on with 15 litres left (and it happens all to often)

I thought pre 96 the tank was 50 litres?

well it is a type RA aswell so maybe has a smaller tank
