Just a quick question about sport cats.

I have an 06 WRX and am looking to fit a sport cat and get a remap, but which cat do i replace, pre cat or centre? Im getting mixed advice from so called exhaust specialists and would like some advice before i part with my hard earned.

Cheers,
Ian

What is best would be best to get rid of the second CAT (buy a Decat Replacement Pipe)

What you should do IMO is a new Freeflow up pipe, A sports CAT, A 2nd decat replacement pipe, a straight through centre pipe and a new back box. This should make your system a lot less restrictive.

Iv got a straight through centre pipe and new back box, just wasnt sure what to do next.
So the downpipe will be a sport cat and the second one a decat.

Evil.... That looks very WR1?? Lovely colour...real stunner!!! thumbup

If you already have the straight through 2nd pipe and back box as has been suggessted all you need is a decat uppipe and sportscat downpipe. In which case you should have a three piece exhaust plus one uppipe.

Then your remap and you'll be going hell for leather. I'm drooling over your car...scuse me while i wipe that hehe

Thanks!
Wasnt trying to copy the WR1, but the colour looks great and the wheels work well with the colour. Had to special order it since the supplier only had the standard colours, was well worth the wait though, and to think i almost went for white.

Evil, that is lovely. Could I just ask where you got those wheels and how much they were? I was also wondering whether they'd fit over the STi brembo brakes? It does look very WR1, lovely colour! I'm thinking of going for a hint of RB320 wth mine hence the wheel question. Sorry I can't help you with your question

The wheels are the Prodrive PPF7's you can pick them up from a subaru Dealer or a Subaru Indipendent, but be carefule of copies. They are not a light or as strog as the FlowForm PPF7s.

They will Fit over the STi Brakes as the the wheels are what were on a WR1.

They are Inovit Redline 18", replicas of the WR1 wheels as mentioned above. The quality isnt as good to be honest in terms of paint finish as they are not fully coated on the inside and i guess they are not as light as the original wheels, but they are less than half the cost of the Subaru ones without tyres and will clear the brembo's!!! I havnt had any issues with them to be honest and people have stood over them and still thought they were the WR1 wheels.
I know a lot of people who have them and are very happy with them and at a little over £600 with tyres you can change them everytime you need new rubber!!!!
I got them from Midland Wheels, they sell them through e-bay. Im always a little worried about buying through e-bay but the company is good and reliable.

The inovit wheels are reasonably good value for money compare to the Prodrive. If you are interested in them get over the the group buy section on Scoobynet as they are usually going for around £300 a set! £500 with tyres
