Toyota MR2 Mk2

Anyone fitted bigger alloys than the standard 15" ones, and Nitrons to their MR2 (Mk2).
Thinking about tweaking the engine a bit too. I have Nitrons fitted to my Tamora and are
very impressed with them.

In 7 years of MR2 ownership I've had 14", 15", 16", 17" and 18" wheels.

No nothing about Nitrons, I had Cusco, and although great on the track were a bit too firm for a lot of people on the road.

How much tire room did you get with the 18" alloys and did it affect the gearing.

I currently have 17's on my 2 with koni susp'. I would say you would be better off with 16 or 17's. I have 235/40's on the rear and 205/40's on the front, using Toyo Proxies.

I run 16s on mine - best size IMO. And I wouldn't go bigger than 17.

17" will fit 245's without rubbing in the rear, 18's IMO are a little too big, but people do get them to fit.
