Does anyone know if any of the limited run (600 I believe) Impreza S204 made it into the uk. I know they were made mainly for the Japanese domestic market but figured some would get imported into England.

Also, if you have seen one on these shores, what sort of money are they fetching?

Wow - that was quick! Yes, I've spoken to Ian thanks. I've been to see him before and know that he can make a standard STi look like an S204 but I just wanted to compare buying an S204 against toning down an STI to look like one. (Obviously there's more to the S204 than just exterior cosmetics)

And before someone says it, the spec D is too far the other way for my tastes. The S204 to my mind is the nicest looking and best propotioned Impreza to date.... and probably about right in terms of performance.

They do seem to go and handle fairly well.

I seem to remember someone on NASIOC showing off their newly aquired s204 last year, so I don't think they've all stayed in the jdm. Have you had a word with Immy at PCM? http://www.performance-centre-manchester.co.uk/ he may be able to help.
If you've been in touch with Ian, why not go for a type 25? Easily better than a s204 in so many ways, and you can have it as discrete as you like, and I'm sure you'd be able to order it in the same grey colour as well smile

Some of them definitely made it outside the JDM market, theres a couple for sale here in NZ at the moment (NZ new but second hand) for around $70k NZ (~27k GBP)Which is getting on for $10k more than a brand new standard STi.

No idea what UK prices will be, but if its similarly priced I think the Type-25 would be a better car for the money.

Description:
SUBARU WRX STI S204 - 2006
RWC Blue, this is the ultimate WRX ( yes we have all heard that before )
This was limited to 600, only released in Japan.
Personal Serial number. Unique, Recaro Carbon Fibre racing seats, body kit,BBS wheels, gear knob, etc.. etc..
320 bhp , 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds ,exhaust pitch is awesome.
The top of the line in suspension and handling from STI.. this is a racing
spec car, but mechanical and body all factory. I have added top of the line
stero/navi, all new speakers, amp, sub woofer.
I dont want to sell this, if I had a choice I wouldnt.

Hmmm, much cheaper than in NZ - the seller is wrong about it only being released in Japan, though admittedly (as I found out last night) Subaru NZ did only get 5 of the 600 to sell.

(NZ Autocar timed it at 0-100km/h in 4.6s, but I think they still do their tests 2-up with a full tank)

mmmmmmmm s204. subtle yet purposeful! would love one. would a spec c sti not be an option instead as these are a bit cheaper and easier to get hold of.

Well this may be the route I have to go. The S204 ticks all the rights boxes for me so I thought it may be easier to just buy one of those but had no idea of what they would go for in the Uk market place.

Also, the latest generation of Type 25 is way too expensive for my budget - which is a shame as it must be the ultimate Impreza - one day! But a Type 20? Maybe

Although I want the styling to be a bit more discrete than the usual Sti, the colour needs to be bright. I'll be using the car for my driving touring business as the main support vehicle so it needs to be seen from a distance by clients (usually around 20 to 25 cars in the group). We don't use or allow stickers on the cars so have to rely purely on the colour of the car to make it stand out. That's why I've currently got a Laguna Seca blue M3. Wouldn't have chosen the colour out of choice.
