bit of a new look for my Skyline
Discussion
Finally finished the exterior after 3 long months at the bodyshop
Basically she's had a full respray in house of kolor silver with violet pearl and prism effect lacquer (sort of like spectraflair on the TVR's), wheels refinished in white, carbon chin spoiler and a few other bits and bobs.

Didn't want a lairy bodykit or anything, though I may go for a 400R front bumper later
I'll get some better pics when I get back to see her and my new camera arrives.
Cheers,
Stu

It's not a flip paint as such, when the suns not out it's just a bright metallic silver
The wheels are Greddy Gravity refinished in white, I've got some other wheels coming which aren't white but I'll be keeping them both, always liked white wheels

Basically the wait was because both me and paul at the bodyshop kept changing the goalposts
It was in for some very minor damage to be repaired and I thought half way through that that going all out would be more fun. So we took a couple of weeks to decide on a paint, painted it, thought nah that's not quite right then took it back to nye on the bare metal and did it all over again with house of kolor stuff.
I also told Paul that I was in no hurry for the car back and to take his time as the engine, gearbox, brakes, suspension, diffs, interior, and so on were still to be bought so it wasn't in a hurry to get it down to a tuners as it all takes ages to spec, buy them come through

A few more pics, hopefully ones that do it a little more justice than before...
Still not happy that I can't show the effect properly (it's very subtle really) and not as "pink" as it looks in some of the shots, but hopefully the first few seconds of the awful quality video I've included will help.
Can't quite work it out, but the white wheels just don't look like they work too well on camera, but in the flesh they look good, I've black TE37's on the way to try out too
Paint is a House Of Kolor Silver metallic with violet pearl, finished with HOK's Prism Effect lacquer.
Wheels were powder coated white, carbon splitter added.
[shamless plug] All work done by the lads at Heaton Park Coachworks (01912760999) [/plug]
Here she is out of direct sunlight, a nice bright House of Kolor silver metallic

Starting to change colour..

and in the sun it goes, well, crazy.
Looks much better in the flesh I have to say, and is much more subtle than the pics suggest, but here's the best I can do.

And a quick video, apologies for the awful quality but it was bad to start with and photobucket made it bigger, but the first few seconds give a bit of an idea of the effect

And that's about it for now

Looking good Stu
If it were mine I'd have dark wheels with that colour, but the white works too
Thanks matey, long time no speaky!
I've got a set of black TE37's winging their way over to me, and I'm finding it very difficult to resist a set of gunmetal volks too.
The pics aren't great by any stretch, and I've taken a lot more since that do it a lot more justice, which you can find here: http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y201/MeLLoN_Stu/S...
