my dads forester's suspension has always been a bit floaty but now the cars hit 90k its become very vauge and lurches a lot more than it did hes not after anything adjstable but would like a kit that offers a better road holding more like our imprezza sports wagon its a 2002 X reg model what kits are out there for it ? or even some stiffer spirngs would be good

Whiteline do some springs and a lowering kit. KYB do some replacement shocks.

If it has self levelling suspension , and he wants to keep it, I think he will need to go OEM.

thanks i think i will take it in and have a chat with the dealer and if they have nothing then i will go aftermarket

Might also be worth getting some different anti roll bars. The ones off an Impreza fit IIRC. It will stop you getting seasick when going around corners.
