Well, some pics of whats most visible (kinda hard to show shocks and springs!)

The peashooter exhausts are gone...i think the new HKS Super Drager look great. It sounds great, too - not too loud at idle or on the motorway, but a roar when you put your foot down.

The shots of the engine show the chargecooler sitting on top of the cam cover...the shop made a lot of nice custom brackets for all the new GT4 ancillaries (expansion tanks, throttle sock etc). Cool paintjob, too wink

Its a nice piece of work all around...Luke at Pacific Works is a legend smile

RobCrezz - where did you get your alloy wheels from, what size are they ? They do look rather cool, as my alloys are buggered. All the laquer has come off, and I need to get them reconditioned, or buy a new set.

They are Borbet lightweight 17", 8J width. Not sure where you can buy them from, mine were already on the car when I bought it. smile

I thought i would use dark powers to bring a thread back from beyond the grave evil

It seems June is the month of car upgrades. Last june i put the chargecooler, and exhaust on the car (see above pics).

Since then the car has had new alloys (August 09)

But June 10 saw a fairly major power hike. New in was:

ATS TD06 turbo kit with Tial wastegate
850cc injectors
Walbro fuel pump
uprated marine pump for the chargecooler
Apexi Power FC ECU
Spec 2 Clutch

This is the result...

Its quite fun. Quite happy with the car at the moment, although might look at the brakes and anti roll bars later this summer - "power is nothing without control" and all that.

But a trip to Santa Pod is in order first smile

Practically same mods as my ST205, on the same rollers it made 356 so very close. Who mapped your car? Ryan? I have a screamer pipe on my TD06 and it sounds like the world is ending when it hits full boost smile

that is close. It sounds like you are running a touch more boost (0.05 bar) more than i am - then again we were very conservative with the map.

I'll be back when the weather cools off in the autumn, as Ryan reckons there is another 2-3 degrees of timing advance in there.

I'm running 1.25BAR but have an evo FMIC to cool things down rather than the CC.

sorry for going a bit of topic, but what is the best form of intercooling on these cars? Obviously it much harder to get goo airflow over an intercooler core when mounted in the rear. are there any LARGE charge cooler options?

Cheers,

Chris.

by "these cars" do you mean his Celica GT4 or my MR2?

For the Celica, its an easy big frontmount solution. Whacking great Blitz intercoolers similar to a big power Evo.

The MR2 has the problem of very limited airflow to the stock intercooler mounts. For BIG (350whp and above) power you basically need to sacrifice your boot to either a big intercooler, or a big chargecooler.

below that, you can either upgrade the side-mount intercooler to a phoneix power or Greddy one, or do what i would recommend, and scavenge a Celica GT4 chargecooler.
