Mazda Demio Questionsomatic

Hi, I've just bought a 2006 Mazda Demio 1.5 (Japanese import) and was wondering if anyone could answer a few questions for me please.

- Any idea where I can get hold of a vehicle handbook/manual for it?

- How do I stop the woman talking to me in Japanese every time I start the engine?

- What is the black thing underneath the steering wheel on the left that looks like a mini disk player?

I've got the 1.3 UK Spec.

Was your car new when you bought it?... Sounds modded to me.

No I bought it last week, it is an 06 plate, imported from Japan, never been registered in Cyprus (where I live now)

Did you buy it from a dealer/importer or was it a private sale?..

The Japanese Market contains a huge ammount of mods for the Demio which we in europe have very limited access to.

Sounds to me like you've bagged yourself a Mazda2 with a lot of "extras".

As for the Handbook, The car should have come with one as it contains the service history and neccessary documents for the Mazda2's electronic service history. Chase up whoever sold you the car. I'm not sure that Mazda will supply you with a new one (without a large cost).
