Hi mate its a 4G63T and you have to be carefull to set the balance shafts correctly or you will get serious vibration (driven by cambelt). I have the factory manual for an evo 6 if its any use to you(Same engine)? Let me know your email address and ill send it to you

Just sent the manual to your email, hope it helps.

As mentioned above lancerregister.com will have the answers if you search the forum or theres another site evo321.com which is aimed at the older evos

Thanks for ur help guys have sorted the problem the timing setup i was doin was correct the problem was with this new motor apparently tried and tested imported straight from jap it didnt seem to have much compression anyway and the cam gears were cracked so just changed them not thinking of anything else decided to pull the head off as the intake valves didnt seem to be closing and what do i find every valve was bent and nice score marks in the top of the pistons...soiid say the timing jumped at some stage and that explains the cracked cam gear...anyway she is all back together new head and bottom end cheers again Andy
