Old catalitic converter?

Hi guys,
After having a garage sort out, I have found the old down pipe and catalitic converter I removed from my 2001 Impreza Turbo. It has only been used for about 11,000 miles and I plan to put it on Ebay, just not sure of the price. Someone at work says it's full of 'exotic metals' so I am better off handing it in to the scap man?

However to a person that wants the part you'd surely be looking at £100?

I just bought one for £30 from a very nice man. However on ebay they were going for £100-150. I think they are £300 + plus brand new. Stick it on ebay.
