MY00 classic impreza - very occasional lazy starting.

It doesn't seem to be the battery (I attached my trickle-charger (TC) immediately after the last lazy-start, and the TC switched from 'charge' to 'maintain' within seconds), so I'm guessing starter-motor.

Could someone tell me please:
1) make/model and best place to source
2) how hard is it to change

Give Andy a call at Grade A Subaru - 01663 744114. He's a top man and will sort you out with a 2nd hand one.

If you're still running a TMIC remove that and you'll see the starter motor top right of the gearbox. Two bolts and it's out, then there's just the thick red + cable to undo and you're done.

Really easy job.
