Mine arrives soon from Motorpoint in Tunbridge Wells. I have asked for them to fit a Milltek Y pipe as that seems the way forward but they told me they invalidate the warranty so won't!. Can anyone shed any light of that?

That's fair enough.

It's not an OEM Nissan part, so it will invalidate the warranty.

As to if it will just invalidate the whole exhaust side of the warranty is a different question. E.g. if your radio breaks, it will still be covered etc.

Take your business elsewhere if ML won't do it

I had mine fitted at Middlehurst , during my 6k service. Brilliant mod.

Milltek or GTC y pipe; all good.

Yes it might invalidate your warranty in theory.............. but you can afford a GTR, so are unlikely to take it up the proverbial from Nissan. Besides they have already coughed up on an entire engine on a Cobb AP modded GTR.

Anyway the cats removed, are only there for jap emissions. Bit more air flow!

bugger Motorline

I was torn over whether to do it or not for ages but

I had mine done anyway. Besides there is now an HPC in bromley who Im told are more understanding.
I ordered mine from lichfield and had it fitted for £60 by Elitedirect in Essex. 30 minute job.

Dont regret it one bit the car sounds so much nicer and its really not too loud. In fact the wife had no idea I had done anything..but the boys new instantly!!

Did they know the car had been remapped?

Fair enough, I thought it must have been something unrelated to the map.

yeah, I was fairly shocked they sorted his car, but on the whole the "crap warranty" accusations are looking pretty hollow, especially when you look at some of the claims rejected and incidents on the porsche forum.
