Has anyone got one of these installed. Can anyone give me a review or opinions. Also do i have to clean the MAF before installing one of these, if so what do i use to clean the MAF (not too sure about using brake fluid).

Use carb cleaner on the MAF. Spray it on then let it evaporate. Then repeat. Dont actualy touch the sensor.

A Simota or JR pannel filter will do the same for half the price..

Also the MAF is a lot stronger than the one fitted to a Classic (Cant remember the model year, but only affected one year)

Also if you dont have an issue with the Maf why you bothering cleaning it??

Do the like the green group n filter, but the STi filter sounds good because its actually by STi, dont mind paying the extra if it actually makes the difference, just wanted to know if you guys have had any experience with it. Also when installing what do u do in terms of oil, add or remove from the filter, cant remeber, i know it sounds dumb, sorry.

Go for the STI filter, no worries about sprays etc, just remove the old and in with the new! Roger Clarke Motorsport recommend the STI panel as the best replacement filter for a WRX. That advise is coming from the best in the buisness...... wink

I've got a cossie air filter in place of the original orange one and honestly I haven't noticed much of a difference. IMO it works when you're playing with less than 120bhp but once you push past 300 you're going to want to do more than change a filter to get any decent return.

I know very little about car mechanics so I'm probably talking bullst but hey, personal experience and all biggrin

The cosie filter was definately one of the options on my list but couldn't much opinions or reviews on it, I guess I'm not looking for much performance bug I think ngk plugs and a new filter will be better for the car
