350z flashing warning light
Discussion
Hi,
Red flashing symbol has come up on dashboard which I believe may be the airbag light. Best way to describe the symbol is a man and circle. Please could anyone confirm that this is in fact the airbag light and whether the car will need to go to the Nissan garage to stop the annoying flashing?
Thank you in advance

Does disconnecting the battery for half an hour or so clear warning lights on 350Zs? If so, this may be a temporary fix until the car goes for a service for further investigation. Faults codes are usually stored even if the light no onger shows. Best to get it checked out at anyway Nissan I'd say, for peace of mind if nothing else. With the fault codes they should be able to home in on where the problem is. It may be something simple like a poor plug connection that needs cleaning and refitting, possibly affected by the cold weather, or something more challenging to sort.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me, it is a known issue, I followed the fix below which worked for me, it was from the 350z forum.
In the event of having a flashing Airbag warning light (but with no fault with the system), then follow the following procedure:
This procedure will CLEAR the AirBag light ONLY if you do not have problems with the airbags on your 350Z.
1. Turn ignition switch from OFF to ON.
2. Air Bag warning lamp is on for 7 seconds and turns off, then turn ignition switch OFF within 1 second after the lamp turn off.
3. After ignition switch is turned OFF, wait for more than 3 seconds.
4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 twice. (Perform 3 times in total.)
5. Turn Ignition switch ON.
6. The SRS lamp has been reset it.
In the event that this does not work, then may be indicative of an actual fault and further investigation should be sought.
