Hi,

I am thinking of buing an 2.5XT/XTen 06 Forester, I am however slightly confused as to what comes as standard and prices. Subaru have 3 on their wbesite 2 xt's an 04 plate with 45k miles @ £10.5K and an 06 with 45k miles @ £9K. They have also got an 06 XTen with 66k miles @ £10k. They all seem to have similar performance and levels of equipment. I have done a few searches but cant seem to find anything useful.

Also is there any real alternative to a Forester?

Cheers

The forester specs are confusing. Basicaly the Xten is the all singing all dancing one and the one to have. if you don't fancy the Forester try the Legacy outback. If you don't mind truly hideous milk curdling looks, but want a fabtastic interior and brilliant drive, you could try the Tribeca.

Nice cars, I have a 53 plate turbo. If you want to be mad, get one with PPP and enjoy 0-60 in around 5.5 secs.

I've been considering changing my blobeye STI saloon for a Forester STI. The problem is I can't be arsed with the hassle of a JDM car. It's just a pisser that Subaru never officialy imported the Forester STI to the UK.

In your price range?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-FORESTER-STI_W0QQitem...

I've owned a FSTi for 2yrs,no problem getting it serviced, insured etc.

Insurance- Keith Michaels,A-Plan even Direct Line will insure it.

Some dealers can be a bit an ass but most if not all Indies will service it.
