If it was a fuel protest you would have to admire their modus operandi baring in mind the minimum speed limit on the motorway is 55mph. Perhaps that's what it was, or maybe they were just 'avin a larf'
Hilarious.
I'm sure the many other drivers on the A1 enjoyed being hindered from making any progress in any lane for miles 'a larf' too.

s.It's very, very clever. I bet the government are feeling very well taught now.
I intend to have a similar fuel protest by eating a biscuit at 1pm tomorrow. Please join me if you object to the high fuel prices by also eating a biscuit in the comfort of your own home at 1pm. This solidarity of eating a biscuit at 1pm will really show the government that we mean business.

Ah ah. So that's what those weekday bike blockades are about: http://www.notobikeparkingtax.com/
Nobody mentions them apart from in traffic reports about bikers protesting causing massive delays. That should teach 'em.
Punish Londoners, go on. Clever.

Some idiots with JDM cars did something stupid. So everyone with an OEM car is an idiot QED. Yes I can see the logic this is a great thread.

I'm unable to see the logic in your reply? Did you read my original post? It was directed precisely at a group of vehicle owners, who may possibly have be PHers/read this forum, and to other PHers who might have been affected by this childish act. I posted here, as said, it mainly consisted of JDM vehicles.
There was NO indication this was a fuel protest.
Some weaving, undertaking, cutting in, hard braking, passengers hanging more than half way out of cars climbing over roofs, taking photos/throwing things...
But nothing to indicate a fuel protest.
Other vehicles in possible convoy included a Ferrari 430 Spyder, Ford Sierra Saphire Cosworth, a 'Max Powered' Audi A3, an the odd Saxo. However, the majority were Evos, Glanzas, Skylines, 350Z, Lexus Soarer...
We were in a seperate convoy with a DB9 and a Bristol

And I've also posted in the Herts, Beds and Bucks forum as this is where it occurred. And if it makes you feel better I'm considering posting all the photos I took in general gassing.
So in fact the 'JDM' monika you placed on the convoy of cars was in fact purely a generilisation/sweeping statement based on what you perceived to be high number of JDM cars involved, and therefore categorically incorrect when there were very likely a multitude of other OEM vehicles of european and other nationalities equally invloved.
If all they were doing regardless of what OEM vehicles they were driving was generally larking about and indeed 'avin a larf' then clearly that was not a good thing and i for one wouldn't have been amused.
If you have evidence of said larking about then you should post your pictures and maybe even report them to the police as i presume you have registration numbers visible in said picture evidence.

As I have said I have posted this in the local forum also. Mainly they were JDM vehicles (FFS I'm not saying all owners act this way!! - I'm bloody one!!!)
The half dozen lead cars consisted of a Glanza, Evo, Skyline, Soarer, 350 'modded' Z and a couple of other imports... There were other OEM cars, one French, one German, one Swedish, one Italian... Nothing of any secific collective marque. MAINLY JDM.
Please don't take it personally!! I also drive a BMW...

Regardless of what you drive, and i drive a Scooby as well as a Jag, your posts come across to me as though it's just JDM drivers that are responsible for all the larking about regardless of whether or not they are in the lead as you don't mention any other makes that may have also been larking about. Were the JDM cars the only ones being stupid??
If it was just the JDM's that just gives other drivers of JDM cars a bad reputation and that's clearly not a good thing. If they were all at it then it matters not what they were driving or who was in the lead as that makes them all a bunch of idiots.
It's just good to get an accurate account of what happened when you post these comments up on a public forum.
Are you going to post photos??

I'm not trying to mislead anyone here. The vehicles I saw driving recklessly were of JDM nature, including an Evo and a Skyline. The cars I saw at the front of both lanes holding up the flow of traffic were both JDM. The chap I saw hanging out across the roof of a car, was the passenger in a JDM vehicle.
Cars toward the back included a Cosworth, a Ferrari, an Audi and a Saxo - as I have said. I did not see these driving recklessly.
Some of the vehicles were stickered up with logos for a tuning company, which when googled, relates mainly to specialising in Japanese vehicles, including Imprezas, EVOs, Skylines.
The tailbacks they caused were for many miles. The road ahead was clear for many miles. There were many irrate drivers.
Has this made things clearer for you?

Fair enough
And that's a real shame they acted like that. It doesn't bode well for the majority when a minority mess about in a dangerous manner. I have to say that in the 26 years of driving i've neither heard nor seen nonsense like that on a UK road, and what a cheek to do it in broad daylight on a motorway. Where are the cops when you want them??!!
I for one wouldn't don't have the patience to just sit there watch them messing about like that and would have just thought fudge it and found a way past to get on with my journey. If you have photo evidence of this i would just report them and let the police take care of it as that's presumably what we pay for.
Didn't mean to question your integrity so apologies if you've felt that as that's not what is intended but when you read so much s
te on PH about all sorts of different things that one wonders if it's just another nonesense trolling post and you're bored/have too much time on your hands, or if it's actually true.
Anyway, bloody idiots!!

I suspect thats the reason - the Jap car events always attract chav Fast and the Furious kids, put me off attending any of these events several years ago. Its always a small minority I know, but they do spoil it for others. There was a drift/time attack/show on at Oulton Park yesterday... Could have been a club on their way their...
Post the pics I say, may embarass them into reconsidering how they behave in the future.
