Best rear brakes for a Classic Impreza with Godspeed fronts
Discussion
I need to sort out all the brakes on my MY00 (it has four-pot fronts).... one of the rear brake pistons is sticking due to corrosion, and I need new front discs/pads - they are all standard at the moment.
So if I fit Godspeed 335s at the front, should I
1) recondition the existing rears with new stainless-steel pistons
or
2) fit a later/better rear caliper
3) do something else.
I'd like to minimise the budget, but the car is a keeper.
THANKS!

I have the Godspeed 335 conversion on my RA and have always found the Subaru 2 pot rears (fitted to newage cars and some of the classic "specials") to work well.
The snag is that they only directly fit on to cars with the big rear hubs and R180 diff, so it's not a bolt-on upgrade for your car. I believe Godspeed can sell you some adaptor parts for your car for a modest price so you don't need to change everything.
Otherwise good quality discs and pads should be OK.
Fit the Godspeed fronts and see what you think... Mine have been fantastic for the past 6 years.
