Nissan Primera GT

Test drove one today but there were a few issues about it, I was wondering if it was just the way the car was or if it's just me. I'm coming from a (newish) Mini Cooper S, which obviously is fairly powerful compared to its weight.

- The brake pedal felt fairly long. Is this a sign of worn pads etc.?

- It didn't feel especially quick. It also didn't seem fairly revvy. Is this normal? How should it feel?

Thought the ride/steering feedback/seats were good.

What year is it? I have a 1998 one converted for track days and it's been brilliant. Done over 160k and still runs like a sewing machine. The brake pedal doesn't feel long, feels pretty normal...there may just be air in the system or I suppose the master cylinder could be on its way out. They're not especially quick, though feel quite nippy. I would've thought a Cooper S would leave it standing due to the torque advantage. Although the engine is pretty revy, feels a tad sluggish till 4k then picks up nicely and revs out to 7k with no problem at all.

Great cars though for the money. Engines are bullet proof, all alloy with chain driven cams. Great on fuel to. I can get an easy 35mpg on the road. Keep thinking about getting a standard one as an everday runner. I think for what you can buy them for they have to be one of the best, cheap cars going!

May be worth getting the fault codes read if you think there's an issue. I have a Nissan specific scanner I bought off ebay for 20 quid.
