n15 ABS light reset help
Discussion
evening all,
would any of you be able to tell me how i can turn the ABS warning light off on the dash to a 1996 Almera GTI?
i had to re-furb the rear calipers (common problem im told) but anyways when i finally got the brakes back together this light stayed on.
any help would be appreciated
many thanks

air in the system would not bring on a light mate ( the abs pump is far from advanced on the n15 almera) sounds like a speed sensor problem either the abs sensor was disconnected with the ignition still on or morethan likely the actual sensor ring on the hub has a break in it altering the on off frequency that the abs pump uses to calculate speed, cheap option is to get a generic code reader off ebay that can be used with a laptop or you can get a hand held one, this way you can actually read what code is shown. But silly question and i have had it a few times, try driving the car for a few miles to see if the light goes off ( yes normal brakes WILL still function, just abs operation wont so you can lock up the wheels) let me know what you find mate
