I've had an idea for a replacement for my Midget competition car...

I realise that there are lots of variables but can anyone tell me roughly how much power a Cappachino could produce with standard internals but a new induction / chip / exhaust / turbo (if required) as this would be all that is allowed within the class rules. How much would it all cost?

Also what are they like a sustained high speed - how tired would one be after 3 hours at 85?

Thanks

Thanks but this was the sum total of what I had found and is rather more extreme than I was thinking of...

I looked into this, they are surprisingly expensive to tune. Not a lot of UK vendors, and Cappuccino Sports prices are....hilarious?

what about a mk1 MR2 with a 3S-GTE conversion? Very very quick (sub 1000kg, 250bhp...)

Would it not be possible to transplant a Starlet Glanza 4EFTE engine in? At 1.3 litres and turbo'd, I'd imagine they'd fit and be a hoot.

The class I was thinking of would only allow limited mods so no engine swaps etc.

I like physically small cars for a number of reasons so I thought it might be fun but my Midget is lighter and more powerful than a standard Cappachino so it would need quite a lot of extra power. Probably more than is likely within the rules.

Cappo sports will do it for you....if you have £40k!!!

As is said, comedy pricing. I'm sure its been done - there is always talk of people in Japan dropping 13B rotaries (N/A) in, which would be very tasty indeed.

There's a chap called Wayne Schofield (of Chipwizards near Rochdale) who has done exactly that (Suzuki bike engine into a Cappuccino). He uses it as his own track day & race car. You can contact him on wayne@chipwizards.co.uk (- it may take him a while to reply).

(Wayne is held in very high esteem in the racing community, he does lots of remaps etc for race cars etc, so I imagine his advice/experience would be well worth listening to. There's petrol running through his veins!)
