Can anyone please tell me the difference between a standard GTB and an E tune?
Is it just more power? if so how much more?
How much more do they sell for than a standard GTB?

I have not seen any for sale recently in UK, but loads are coming up at auction in Japan.
What would a Blue top grade 1999 Etune with 46000 miles on be worth here?

Thanks

I'm not aware of any real mechanical differences between an E-tune and a regular GTB, I've heard rumours of a different tune that gives better power delivery etc but never anything solid to back that up. I know mechanics that work on a lot of them have commented on mine feeling noticeably stronger than most GTBs but thats also related to it being a Rev-D (01-03 facelift) and a healthy, well maintained example.

The part I do know is that E-tune was the top trim level, slightly above a regular GTB with the option boxes ticked.

Personally I think its worth spending that bit extra for the later revision, but I guess it depends on the price difference where you are.

I had always had the idea that the E-tune was the lesser model?

Nope, E-tune is the better one. There was a lower-spec GT (without the B) for a while that didn't have the Bilsteins etc though.

The thing is the car has to be over 10 years to get away from the SVA test.
There are so many versions I really cant work it out. It doesnt seemed any better specked as in fact ive not yet seen an Etune with the twin sunroofs.
Some have Macintosh DVD sat Navs, but they are not worth paying a premium for as probably wont work in the UK.

The Wife likes a black B4 RSK, which is going through, and its a lot cheaper than the E tune GTB I mentioned earlier.
Decisions Decisions. I will get one or the otherconfused

I had a 2000 B4 RSK. The estates back then weren't very attractive IMO. Try and get one with the Momo leather interior.

Unfortunatly the Sat Nav wont work over here!
