Keighley Cars, West Yorkshire?
Discussion
Guys
Does anyone have any experience with these guys?
I am looking at one of theirs, and when I phone up they seem less than friendly and doesnt offer me any confidence.
Any reports would be welcomed. I am in Essex and dont want to drive 240 miles to see the car if I cant get comfortable with the dealer.
cheers!!

Id rather by a used rental car. I had a look round their place, unless you REALLY know what youre doing and looking out for, id suggest finding somewhere else. Some shocking stuff, especially when you pop round the back and see all the smashed up cars that are then for sale next month apparantly fine....
My advice is don't make the journey. They have an absolutely terrible reputation throughout the Jap car scene. Stock is for the most part crap that other reputable importers wouldn't touch with a barge pole. After sales service is non existent too.
Plenty of good importers around that can source good cars for you.

terrible reputation - I wouldn't make the journey and I am 15 miles away.
Heard many stories of people making a journey to see a car and being told - its just been sold - how about this.............piece of crap.
TBH some of the cars are probably ok especially the higher priced stuff.

I wouldn't touch them with a s
tty stick. I called about an Evo I was interested in, checked the documents would be available to check ( import docs, auction grade etc ), asked all the pertinant questions.
All sounded good so I arranged to visit and travelled from EXETER to Keighley only to be met by the most ignorant and unhelpful chav of a salesman, who didn't have the slightest clue what day it was, never mind anything about the cars he was leaning against.
All the cars were in a right state, missing trim, leaking oil etc. I couldn't check any paperwork as "me boss isn't 'ere, he's got the key for the filing cabinet. Soz mate."
I was bloody fuming! I'd arranged the trip for that day at their suggestion!
He then decided to impress me by starting the car, with a large white cloud of smoke, and revving the nuts off the engine from cold.
There are no doubt customers who have been lucky and got a reasonable car from them, but not many i'll bet.

I bought an Evo 4 off them about 5 years ago. I think I'm one of the lucky ones because I had 2 years of trouble free motoring then sold it for £250 less than purchase price
The Evo I bought was the only standard one there. They were reluctant to sell it t me and tried to off load a messy one with a load of aftermarket bits on it for the same price. I was lucky as I knew want I wanted & what to look for. The sales man seemed clueless though, he'd struggle to sell ice to an eskimo!

I know this is offtopic, but I couldn't ignore it. Why would an eskimo, who is surrounded by ice, want to buy ice? That makes absolutely no sense. I think anyone would struggle to sell ice to an eskimo.
