Hello. My name is Charlotte, known as Charlie ;-)

Have been into the Jap Cars a good few years now and have had a few to ;-)

I have just bought myself a white RX7 Type R FD3S from a friend. She is in need of a rebuild so will be a little while before we are on the road. Have also got a Honda Integra DC5 and a Toyota Corolla WRC Edition, both of which are used on track.

Look forward to chatting :-)

Beautiful Rx7

There arent many cars that suit white....but that does it justice!!

Yeah im not sure what kit it is but its quite nice. The back looks a bit odd as there is nothing on it, will be putting a diffuser on it tho so hopefully will sort that problem.

Its a twin turbo which we'l be sticking to although our mate has a single turbo manifold if we want it, just incase!! LOL

Its got a few toys, i think its had a bit of a drift past ;-), heres the spec as it is at the mo:

JDM Advan 3 spoke wheels. Rears are split rims and fronts are one piece. (I'l be getting shot of these as i dont like them, will be replaced with Rota GTRs, i would like some RAYS to keep in with the other 2 cars but they are a tad pricey compared!! ;-)

Coilover suspension at the rear.
Kakimoto stainless cat back system.
HKS hard intercooler pipes.
Twin blitz SUS cone air filters with the propper blitz adaptor plates.
Blitz blow off valve.
The ''rats nest'' of vacuum lines swapped to silicone to prevent leaks.
Hard alloy inlet/throttle body elbow.
Kaaz 2 way diff.

Black velour trim.

The dash has indiglo dials.
Momo steering wheel.
Fly off handbrake button.

I'd say it definitely has a drift past with that spec. Good decision with the wheels too - perhaps the ugliest alloy design ever to grace a car IMO.

I'd look at getting matched dampers front and rear as your first job if I where you.

Some nice toys you have there though. Oh, and welcome to PH.

The 2 way will prove interesting when you take it out on track wink

Does this mean we can expect you down at Combe with the rex? If you need any help...just ask smile There are plenty of us that own these fun little cars!

Thanks. I'l bear that in mind ;-) The OH is already shopping like a kid at Christmas!! LOL Couldnt agree more with them wheels, not my cup of tea at all. Been told to 'introduce' it to its wheels many times on DW!! ha ha

Yeah will defo be making an appearance at Combe ;-) Its our local track ;-) Aiming to have her done for Japfest next year ;-) Thats rebuild and makeover ;-)

If im honest im excited AND nervous about taking her out on track, me thinks a few drift lessons may be a good idea!!! LOL

Dont be nervous about going out on track...its a fantastic car around the circuit, ive taken mine around there quite a few times...and it certainly is a crowd puller!

Ignore this spectacularly misguided man; Advans are possibly the finest piece of JDMness out there after a nice set of TE37s. And they suit taht RX-7 perfectly!

I'l be the one going VERY slow round the corners!! ha ha

This will be the first time ive owned a RWD. Taken the other 2 out a few times now and LOVE it. Suppose im just nervous bout the ass end getting a bit twitchy and me losing the plot!! ha ha

Once ive faced the demons there'l be no stopping me ;-)

I love that RX7, nearly imported one from Japan about a year ago but bottled it for various reasons.
Them Corrolas look terrible, cant think why they did that. My brother has one just a boggo 1.3 in green and it looks hideous, still each to their own wink

I think the Rolla looks okayish. Function over form and all that.

The Rolla is the best.

It did win the WRC in 1999. and is much better than an evo or scooby.

Will be awsome when i have the 4AGE 20V black top in there. smile

Just out of curiosity, is it 4wd? I was led to believe they were all fwd.

Its FWD. The ones they used in the Rally were 4WD running the GT4 engines ;-) We did think about this conversion for ours but have decided to stick to n/a and go down the Blacktop route ;-)

It may not be everyones cup of tea but it really is a great little car and quite rare to. Its a little animal on track :-)
