Hello all.

Due to pick up a 57 2.0i sport Mazda 3 on saturday from a Mazda dealer. However, i've done some research recently and it seems like the vehicles are prone to rust?

Most of the complaints seem to be based in America and Canada, so does anybody know how the UK spec cars are faring? The dealer has told me I will have a Mazda Anti Perforation Warranty but I don't know if that covers everything related to rust.

Do the 2007 models rust badly?

Thanks.

I have an 07 Mazda 3 that has done well over 100k miles, and no rust yet!! It is parked outside and Im not one for getting a tooth brush out to anally clean it either!

Go have fun with it....great cars smile

I have the 2.0 TDi sport

Thanks chap smile .

I'm not anal (ooh err) about the cleanliness of my cars, but I read about problems with 3 and rust on American models. Oh well, I would much rather note the opinion of a fellow PH owner.

I shall try to enjoy it a lot. Mine's a 57 plate one that has done 20k. It's the 2.0i sport petrol (i'm chopping in a diesel car for it). Glad you've enjoyed the car. smile

Edited to add: well over 100k miles in 3 and a bit years! Blimey, that's big mileage!

Have a 2007 MPS that lives outside, washed only when it goes for a service - not a trace of rust. Seems better screwed together than previous Cupra R.
