Manual Supra 2jz or Soarer 1jz? Any owners opinions please!

Hi, having recently sold my Nissan Silvia S14 ('drift spec' but useable roadcar with 4 seats!) to a friend, and now also my TVR Chimaera, i'm looking for a car to 'combine the two!' I'm not looking for a hardcore drift/trackcar but are Supra RZs any good for drifting with the standard torsen LSD? It looks really hard to find a manual Soarer but would consider one! Does anyone own/one or both! Cheers

For the cost of an auto soarer & a new bellhousing from Mr T plus some extra bits & a weekends work & you've a very cheap manual soarer!

Hmmm, never thought about swapping the auto out of the soarer, that would make it one hell of a car. Where do you get the manual box from is it on another car or just a manual soarer?

Another option we have is one of the lads on TwoBrutal has designed flappy paddles for the Toyota auto's. Granted you only get 4 gears but it's all down to you how you use them.

Mk3 Supra Turbo R154 gearbox, clutch pedal, propshaft, clutch bits, a new 1JZ bellhousing from Mr T, short the park switch & gaiter surround, thats about it.

Or yes go for the SupraStick flappy paddle thing which I hear is rather good.
