CALLING ALL MR2 OWNERS!!!
Discussion
Hello, I am due to be going to view an MR2 sometime next week. As this is the first MR2 i will be looking at i dont know of any common faults etc. So here is my question.
Are there any MR2 owners who are local to either Wrexham/chester or Swallownest who could come with me when veiwing the car just incase theres something that i miss.
the postcode off the dealership is S26 4UN,
if you are local to wrexham/chester i wil pick you up/drop you off.
This is the vehicle in question. Nothing jumped out at me as being drasticly wrong.

Thanks in advance,

Have a look at these...
Imports have better spec and Turbo option of course.
Avoid spoilerless UK 3S-FE engined model, but 3S-GE N/A's are good fun. 3S-GTE turbos are very fast and capable cars. Post 92 models have better brakes and more predictable handling.
Maybe you could check out the following club sites...

Enjoy
- Signs of coolant loss from radiator (and it's general condition) as it's exposed to stone impacts.
- Signs of coolant loss from middle underside of car as pipes that run length of car can crack at their mounting points)
- Rusty coolant = Badly maintained car, so avoid!
- Brakes not binding and handbrake effective (between 5-8 clips are the factory specs) as both can seize with age.
- Unusual road noises (drumming) caused by aged wheel bearings.
- Boosts cleanly and without hesitation. (Turbo of course)
- Watch for water leaks from T-Bar roof panels.

I am a member of the MR2OC.co.uk, but the website doesnt appear to be working for me, it just comes up with index of / and then a load of files.
Anyone on here willing to come for a day out, no expense to yourself, just food and rink if you need it.
Thom
The MR2OC site is up and running again, so ask on there as well. I'm pretty sure their North West region rep lives in Cheshire.Anyone on here willing to come for a day out, no expense to yourself, just food and rink if you need it.
