Which BBS wheels should I stick on my NSX?

I've spent the last few months trying to track down some wheels for my NSX and would really like a general PH opinion. The specs aren't easy to find and I'm keen not to compromise the excellent ride/handling balance of the car.

Thanks to Winky Mcfknut sterling is worth next to nothing at the moment hence importing quality wheels from the US or Japan is very expensive. Yes I would love some 2002+ NSX 7 spokes but it's not going to happen!

I want the car to look tidy and have a quality timeless look that won't date. I'm not sure bling wheels are a great look on the early red/black cars.

I've narrowed the list down to a few options. The car is currently on original 15/16 5 spoke wheels. I can get a set of the later OEM 7 spokes like these:


or 17/17 BBS RS (pic shows 16/17)


or my preference BBS LM 17/17(Gold)


If the gold doesn't suit I could have the centres powdercoated grey which would definitely look good.

All wheels and tyres are a very similar weight. The tyres fitted will be 2002+ OEM spec so should be fine. Offsets are very slightly more aggressive than standard and NSXCB members are running similar setups without problems.

I'm interested to hear the general PH view. Please vote, and suggestions are welcomed, although I think I have explored every avenue.

BBS LM's in gold without a doubt, a mate has a set for sale that might be the right offset's if you know what your after PM me the sizes & I'll pass the message on.

BBS LMs are always lovely, but what about some 18" Volk TE37s?

If you can find me a set in the UK for a decent price I'd have to agree. I like the light grey ones.



These are LE37 18/19 on lowered suspension. Nice to look at but too much for the UK I think.

I may be biased, given that the first pic is my car but I voted OEM 7 spoke - anything else looks a little 'ricer' on the NSX imho

Nice big cross-spokes but not in gold. Doesn't go with a red car.

I have to confess that I knew it was your car - but since I pulled the pic from PH I hoped you wouldn't mind. I was hoping that by proposing to fit one of the two quintessentially german wheels made by Honda's OEM supplier I could avoid being tagged (even if the LM is made in Japan)

If you're ever over Hampshire way give me a bell and we can go for a drive.

Get the OEM seven spoke wheels.
They're the only ones which look right on the car and they won't date.

OEM Seven spokers for me also, never been a fan of aftermarket wheels as i alway feel they devalue the car.

Of course, no problem! Dont get down to Hampshire very often, but Breakfast Club meets are always a fun drive down....
