Hi
I am lucky enough to have just taken delivery of a new GT-R but was left very diappointed with the handover. In the past when I have bought a new car there would be a small gift to take away such as a bunch of flowers for the wife or a key ring. Instead I was left unattended in the showroom for nearly an hour whilst the salesman handed over another car despite me having an appointment. Can other GT-R owners let me know their experiences please

Car brought from Marshalls in cambridge, great service from day 1.
Car already been in for its 1200 service, collected by Marshalls, spot on.
No, i didnt get any flowers or keyrings,didnt expect any, but i got full tank of fuel, and they sorted some adaptions i needed, all at there own cost
The car itself just keeps getting better and better and better, just back from a run to the coast,fantastic.
I really cannot fault the dealer or the car at all, for the money its pretty unbeatable in every way.
Put the bad collection day behind you and get out there and drive the thing, its what its built for.

Why? You'd only have to go back again later.As for free gifts, I vaguely remember some pics in Evo of David Yu collecting GO02LLA and could have sworn he was wearing some sort of comedy jacket; presumably a freebie as there looked to be a rack of them in the background.

My experience was even better, was kept waiting an hour and a half for a test drive before being told there wouldn't be time and could I come back the next day (50 mile round trip). Won't mention the dealer other than to add they were in OXFORDshire.
Bought the car from another dealer, handover was ok - not as good perhaps as when you pick up a new porker. Wouldn't think it would hurt a dealer to throw in a set of mats and a couple of key fobs when you have spent £55k...

I was trying to look a bit multi-cultural and ethnic, but I think it's safe to say sartorial elegance is not one of my strong suits (pun intended).I blame it on 15 years working in The City and majorly rebelling since I quit. Haven't worn a suit or tie once in the last 5 years and very proud of it...
Freebies were limited to a solitary baseball cap that I have yet to wear, oh and the nice indoor car cover that I have yet to unfurl (given to the first, first day collection people at each dealer, I believe). I even had to pay for the 50 litres of fuel and mats!
But I don't care. The car is awesome and surpassing my expectations further each time I drive it, and the technical knowledge and after-sales service at Middlehurst's has been exemplary. That is what counts.
