Took the big plunge and ordered a new GT-R (Black) yesterday with S/Nav, hope I don't get cold feet, should arrive next Feb/March.

I have a question, what is the break in do's and don't ? and how many miles, what are your feelings on the best colour ? Met/Grey or White are my two choices.

Had my test drive yesterday down at T/Wells, they keep me waiting a short while but Phil looked after me well, it's fantastic.

Personally, I like it in the red, with black wheels, but then I'm biased.

Just be really careful with the paint and your black one should look ace, though.

I passed a black one on the M1 this morning (J14-15 northbound) and it was quite surprising how big it is. It really filled the lane.

Some chap in the building opposite my employers has a grey one. (Lucky f*****r)

What's the point in ordering a black edition to get it in grey or white. Isn't that just £1400 for some red stitching now that you get the dark wheels on the Premium?

It's going to be a long wait till February if you're thinking about running procedures already. Bloody great cars though! Mines run in but still barely need to use the revs anyway, it's just too beaucoup!

Just checked the price of the tyres, looks like I best get some into our stock now as I can only see them going one way, Dunlops will cost £880.00 plus Browns bit.

That price is my cost for four Dunlop Run Flats, correct spec, I am a tyre dealer.

There is only one Nissan dealer in T/Wells I think, right next door to Toyota, same company, Motorline.

I now don't want to wait till next year so am looking for another supplier, trade or private, not bothered if it's got another name on log book so long as it's del miles and a UK car with SatNav, also in black, don't want to pay premium though, fingers crossed.

Me too Ill have two sets at that price!

BTW the car is superb. I bought mine from TW too. Has it since april and TW seem a godd dealer. Im a bit unhappy about their rigidity to warranty issues..ie. Other dealers are fitting Ypipes to enhance the sound..they are not. What that will mean with other warranty issues I dont know, but Phil is a nice guy.

That is a very sharp price for the tyres, but you said that was your cost as a dealer; presumably you would retail them at considerably above that?

If not, I'll put an order in shortly!

Actually the Dunlops are holding up pretty well. I've done nearly 3000 miles in mine and they are all still legal; a bit of a record for me... wink

I'd forgotten you could only get black in a Black Edition. It's not a pretty metallic black and is therefore very subject to swirl marks like all gloss black cars.

I've never liked white cars, but the new (current) Storm White is simply stunning and would show off the darker wheels very nicely.

You won't find a UK car with Sat Nav yet though. They're not being released until September and any coming onto the market then will probably be top dollar for a while.

Cheers Andy. Do you have the machines to fit these low-profile 20" jobs? What about nitrogen for filling them?
